Coolnwynpin State School is proud to support our Hip Hop
Dance Crew every Wednesday. Students from Years 3-6 are invited to audition at
the start of each school year and rehearse every Wednesday morning at 8am.
Dance has many benefits to students as not only does it
allow kids to get their energy out, it is also a great and safe way for them to
express themselves. Dance training is also a concrete way for them to see that
through their actions, listening to guidance from teachers, working as a team
and hard work leads to positive results which carry through all aspects of
their education.
Each year the students work tirelessly to create a
well-rehearsed performance and have the opportunity to perform at
school parade, the Koala Fair and local child care centres. Last year the crew were also
privileged to be invited to perform at Alexandra Hills High School’s Night of
Dance where students were able to participate in a professional stage
production.
